Adult enrollment may increase by twice as much as high school grads

Adult college enrollment (ages 25 - 64) is set to increase by twice as much as college enrollment among recent high school graduates between 2009 and 2019, according to research cited in a policy brief by the Florida College Access Network.

It's therefore imperative, the brief argues, to find solutions for engaging adults with some college and no degree in the process of returning to school, and establishing a framework that will allow those adults to find financial aid, work through transcript and transfer issues, and balance school with work and child care.

The brief is specific to the state of Florida, but its recommendations would have positive impact nationwide. Read the brief here.
